Training/Qualifications
Entry Requirements
There are no specific minimum entry qualifications to work in domiciliary care – we will discuss your transferable skills and how they can apply to working in care and full care training will be provided.
If you wish to work in hospitals or nursing homes, you will need to have a minimum of 6 months paid experience working in care within the last 3 years.
All care workers must go through an application form, interview, criminal records check referred to as an enhanced access NI disclosure, reference checks, registration with the NISCC and the full Lydian induction training and all necessary paperwork before commencing work.
NVQ Level 2, 3 & 5
Lydian Care works in partnership with local regional colleges and private training companies such as people 1st to offer our care team NVQ training in care at various opportunities throughout their registration.
There are apprenticeship’s currently being offered which provide funding to complete your NVQ qualifications while working with Lydian Care.
Your learning can be delivered in person through the regional colleges and via distance learning with private training companies.
